Hey Sdc:
Here's a random thought -- did you know no matter where your body goes, you always remain in the same place?...You--that non-physical thing that sits on a throne behind your consciousness and steers? When your body walks down the street, goes out to eat or rides a bike, you are sitting on a spinney-chair in the control room that is your body's brain intaking all the sites, sounds and emotions. In essence, you never actually move--like traveling the world in an airplane yet never deplaning.
The Ivory Staff Launch Party! Speaking of setting out a chair in my brain, every time you create something and share it with the world, you're inviting people into the psycho-trip that is your internal universe and dusting of a seat. That's what I've done here with The Ivory Staff -- a Socio Fantasy about a girl who decides to take it upon herself to heal her ravaged nation. The novel, published by Library Tales, will be in stores October 23, and there will be a Launch Party and Musical Performanceon October 17 at the Shrine Venue in West Harlem.
Though I'm still waiting on the editorial review from a reviewer who posts to the Examiner, I'm ecstatic to move already received some great reviews!
| The Ivory Staff is a song for our times...It holds the ability to reach beyond the usual fantasy reader into circles that appreciate complex novels, protagonists and political intrigue. -Midwest Book Review
This was a thoroughly enjoyable read; all 365 pages easily done in one sitting..that introduces Lachi as a consummate writer. I dare say this timeless story will age well. -New Books Nigeria
M. Lachi exhibits the uncanny gift of...common sense into storytelling, and it is this aspect of the story that creates the striking realism that permeates its every page. -Readers Favorite |

 | Book of the Month Yes, I did promise a book a month didn't I. I'll be genre-ist and sexist and begin with a recommended female written Fantasy: Sarah Fine's "Servants of Fate - Marked." Read along with me and check out an eventual book review on my blog! Recommend a future book!!
Interesting Article Biocentrism, a concept coined by celebrated regenerative scientist and quantum theory enthusiast, Dr. Rober Lanza, posits that life does not end when the body dies and that the human concept of death is merely an illusion brought forth by our innate inability to understand the non-physical nature of our consciousness. Not just science-fiction authors, but fellow scientists and mainstream are embracing the concept. Take a read into just how kooky it gets, and revel in the fact that the Vanilla Normals are latching on to this Nest bioGen theory!
